Overview

Real estate financing requires a careful balance between the legal structure of the transaction, the value and condition of the collateral, the borrower’s business objectives, and the lender’s risk considerations. Our Real Estate Financing practice group assists lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, nonprofit organizations, and business owners in structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions secured by real property.

The group handles a broad range of financing matters, including acquisition loans, construction loans, commercial mortgage loans, refinancing transactions, loan modifications, bridge financing, revolving and term credit facilities secured by real estate, collateral review, guarantees, security agreements, title matters, and registry-related issues.

We work closely with clients to identify the appropriate financing structure, evaluate collateral and perfection requirements, address due diligence matters, and prepare the documentation needed to support a smooth and efficient closing. Our attorneys also coordinate with corporate, construction, and litigation counsel when transactions involve broader legal or business considerations.

With a practical and detail-oriented approach, the Real Estate Financing practice group helps clients manage risk, protect their interests, and complete financing transactions that support their real estate, development, and business goals.
