Overview

Mr. Hernández-Freire joined Delgado & Fernández, LLC in 2018 as an Associate in the Litigation Department and now serves in a prominent role within the Firm’s Corporate Department. He focuses his practice on commercial and corporate transactions, including financing, corporate governance, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and transactional document drafting and review.

He also advises clients on education law matters, including corporate transactions and legal issues affecting educational institutions, charter schools, and nonprofit education organizations. In addition, Mr. Hernández-Freire handles internal investigations and information management matters, particularly involving fraud and abuse issues in financial institutions, and works on corporate and commercial lending matters for one of Puerto Rico’s leading financial institutions.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Hernández-Freire gained experience in corporate and regulatory matters, eDiscovery, as well as employment, tort, and commercial litigation. He also has a background in legislative drafting, lobbying, constitutional law, and administrative law through his prior work with the Puerto Rico Senate and in private practice.

Mr. Hernández-Freire is also a Notary Public.
