Overview
Mr. González-Casas joined Delgado & Fernández, LLC in 2022. He represents clients in commercial litigation and civil rights claims before state and federal courts, as well as in other advisory and investigative matters. Mr. González-Casas has experience in government affairs and regulatory compliance issues.
Prior to joining Delgado & Fernández, LLC, Mr. González-Casas represented the Municipality of San Juan in complex civil litigations related to debt collection, eviction proceedings, and municipal construction projects, as well as participating in the management and administration of federal disaster recovery programs.
Mr. González-Casas served as Legal Counsel for the Secretariat for the Regulation and Accreditation of Healthcare Facilities (SARAFS, as per its Spanish acronym) of the Puerto Rico Department of Health, where he also headed the Administrative Hearings Division, and the Certificates of Need and Convenience (CNC) Division.
In addition to working for other distinguished Puerto Rico law firms, Mr. González-Casas also worked as an attorney for the Office of Government Ethics of Puerto Rico where he oversaw a significant amount of investigations and administrative prosecutions of public officials for ethical violations.
